Amman, July 2025: The College of Advanced Vocational Training in Jordan (CAVT) has officially inaugurated its first business incubator program in Irbid Governorate – a strategic step aimed at fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among youth in the Kingdom’s north. The initiative reflects CAVT’s commitment to empowering young people by extending the tools and support needed to transform their ideas into successful and sustainable startups that contribute to national economic development.
The incubator seeks to support entrepreneurs with early-stage concepts less than one year old by offering intensive training in business development, marketing and financing/funding, along with legal consulting and technical guidance. It also provides fully equipped workspaces and prototype labs, as well as networking opportunities with investors and experts across diverse sectors. Each selected project receives seed funding to support its launch and implementation phase.
The program officially kicked off in early July, beginning with an application phase followed by participant evaluation and qualification. The next step involves an intensive training bootcamp and a pitch day before a panel of expert judges. Selected projects then enter the incubation phase, concluding with a graduation ceremony where participants present their ventures to a group of potential investors and partners.
Open to all sectors, the program aligns with local labor market needs and CAVT areas of specialization. Interested applicants can apply through an online form available on CAVT social media platforms, which requires details about the project concept, team and predicted impact.
Commenting on the initiative, CAVT CEO, Eng. Ammar Gharaibeh, stated, “We launched the CAVT Business Incubator as part of our vision to drive innovation and foster entrepreneurship across every sector. Our goal is not only to give young people the platform to deploy their ventures, but to provide them with a fully integrated environment that enables them to move from job seekers to creators of economic opportunities. This incubator reflects our commitment to building a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem where vocational training serves as a foundation for development, creativity and sustainability.”
