Amman, Jordan – 22 December 2025: The College of Advanced Vocational Training in Jordan (CAVT) – a Crown Prince Foundation initiative, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Joramco, the Amman-based aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility and the engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE). The agreement aims to jointly develop an advanced vocational training program in carbon fiber composite technology, alongside establishing and equipping specialized training production workshops and facilities at CAVT.
Under the MoU, CAVT will lead the development and design of the training program, including the creation and approval of specialized curriculum and the full management of the training process. CAVT will also prepare the necessary infrastructure for the carbon fiber composite workshop, providing advanced equipment with support from the German government through KfW Development Bank. Moreover, CAVT will oversee all training and production activities, including non-aviation-related work, while ensuring strict adherence to quality standards. These efforts are intended to prepare highly qualified technical personnel capable of meeting the demands of regional and global labor markets in advanced industrial sectors.
In turn, Joramco will contribute its extensive industry expertise to support curriculum development and accreditation in line with the highest technical standards applied in the MRO sector. The company will also provide technical guidance and hands-on training for instructors and trainees. In addition, Joramco will support the design of the composite materials workshop in accordance with industry requirements and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations for aircraft maintenance organization accreditation, specifically EASA Part 145.
As part of the collaboration, Joramco will offer employment opportunities to program graduates within its professional network, subject to vacancy availability. CAVT will also be given priority to participate in selected MRO projects through separate future agreements, further strengthening the link between practical training and the real-world needs of the aviation sector.
Commenting on the agreement, Eng. Ammar Gharaibeh, CAVT CEO, said, “This agreement represents a strategic step toward strengthening the college’s ability to deliver advanced training programs that respond to market needs and align with global developments in the aircraft maintenance sector. We are proud to partner with Joramco, whose extensive expertise will enable our students to acquire high-level technical skills and enhance their employability both locally and internationally.”
Fraser Currie, Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer at DAE – Engineering, added, “We are delighted to collaborate with CAVT on this important initiative, which aims to build a new generation of professionals specialized in composite materials technology. This partnership will support the aviation sector in Jordan and the wider region, while contributing to the development of local technical talent that meets international standards.”
This collaboration highlights the shared commitment of both parties to developing Jordan’s human capital, advancing the quality of vocational education, supporting industrial innovation and reinforcing Jordan’s position as a regional hub for advanced aviation training.
