Amman, April 2025: Underscoring its commitment to supporting Jordanian youth and boosting their readiness for the job market, the College of Advanced Vocational Training in Jordan (CAVT) recently signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Jordan Oil Terminals Company (JOTC). The agreement aims to establish a dynamic knowledge-focused and skills-based partnership that meets market demands and supports socioeconomic development.
By virtue of the agreement, both parties will collaborate to exchange technical and administrative expertise, along with implementing specialized training programs through ‘JOTC ACADEMY’. These programs will cover multiple fields – encompassing effective communication, management skills, finance and accounting, human resources, information technology, leadership, personal development, occupational safety and supply chain management. The partnership will also encompass workshops designed to strengthen core business competencies essential for success. The academic team at CAVT will evaluate the impact of these programs based on participant outcomes and share the results with JOTC. This approach ensures the training content remains aligned with the evolving needs of today’s evolving work environment.
The agreement also comprises the delivery of technical courses and specialized workshops pertaining to the operation and maintenance of oil facilities. These will be conducted at CAVT under the supervision of JOTC experts. To further bolster the practical aspect of the learning experience, field visits to JOTC facilities in Amman and Aqaba will be arranged. Participants who successfully complete the training will receive accredited certificates from JOTC ACADEMY, adding value to their credentials and improving their prospects for securing high-quality employment in critical sectors.
“We believe that building partnerships with leading institutions like Jordan Oil Terminals Company is fundamental to advancing the vocational education and training ecosystem in Jordan. This collaboration reflects our shared vision of preparing a skilled workforce that meets the needs of the labor market, and marks an important step toward empowering youth and encouraging them to pursue sustainable, meaningful career paths,” commented CAVT CEO, Eng. Ammar Gharaybeh.
In turn, JOTC stated, “We are proud to partner with CAVT, asserting our commitment to supporting vocational education and bridging academic knowledge with practical application. Through our training programs and accredited certifications, we aim to equip the next generation of Jordanian talent with the skills and expertise needed to join the energy and infrastructure sectors – therefore actively contributing to the momentum of national development.”
