Position Title: Academic & Training Manager
Reporting to: Campus Director
Contract Type: Full time
Job Objective:
To lead and manage all academic and training operations at the CAVT Main Campus, ensuring high-quality program delivery, instructor performance, and workshop readiness in alignment with approved curricula and competency-based training standards. The position ensures that academic excellence, industry relevance, and institutional KPIs are achieved in a safe, efficient, and learner-centered environment.
- Academic and Training Leadership
- Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of all Campus academic and vocational programs.
- Implement HQ-approved curricula, DACUM frameworks, and TTLM methodologies.
- Coordinate the scheduling of classes, workshops, and assessments.
- Instructor and Staff Management
- Lead the recruitment, induction, and performance management of instructors and lab supervisors.
- Oversee instructor professional development and participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programs.
- Ensure instructor workloads, timetables, and competencies are balanced with training needs.
- Quality and Compliance
- Monitor compliance with national accreditation and institutional quality standards.
- Collaborate with QA & M&E to ensure consistent implementation of academic SOPs and assessments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date academic data for HQ reporting and audits.
- Workshop and Facility Readiness
- Coordinate with the Operations Department to ensure workshop/lab safety, functionality, and preventive maintenance.
- Manage supervisors and trainers to ensure all teaching and learning resources, tools, and consumables are available and in good condition.
- Industry and Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with private sector engagement director and employment officers to build partnerships with industry for guest training, internships, and curriculum enhancement.
- Incorporate labor market feedback and technological trends into training delivery.
- Strategic Planning and Reporting
- Develop annual training plans, resource forecasts, and instructor deployment schedules.
- Report on academic performance indicators, learner outcomes, and employability rates.
- On-time delivery of academic programs and adherence to training schedules.
- Student achievement, retention, and completion rates.
- Instructor performance and professional development completion.
- Compliance with accreditation and QA requirements.
- Workshop/lab readiness and safety audit results.
- Industry engagement outcomes
- Bachelors degree in Education, TVET Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in TVET or higher education management, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven experience in competency-based education and workshop/lab operations.
- Familiarity with Jordanian accreditation and TVET standards preferred.
