Building Electricians plan, integrate and install electrical, electronic and ICT-based building technology systems. On site, they are responsible for the technical installation; laying cables or lines, assembling and selecting the necessary components. They test systems, verify safety measures, adjust components, commission the systems and instruct end users on correct usage. To prevent major breakdowns, they conduct regular checks on building technology systems and repair .
They are also responsible for electrical installations in functional buildings with complex building automation systems, including Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. As supervisors, they oversee and assume responsibility for the work of smaller teams, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets in medium-sized projects.
